USB001 FLIGHT CONTROLLER INTERFACE

The USB001 "Flight Controller Interface" is a custom made USB interface adapter designed to be used with the Star Wars yoke controller.  It has full Plug and Play connectivity which allows easy use with all MAME setups running under Windows OS.  To use, simply plug yoke controller into interface board and plug USB cable into M.A.M.E. computer.  There are no drivers to install or any software to fuss with, this is a true plug-and-play device.

Based on the Microchip 18F2450 microcontroller, this USB interface features support for dual axis (pitch-up/down and roll-right/left) analog controls and four separate momentary switches (right/left thumb buttons and right/left trigger buttons).  Each switch has it's own input which registers separately, effectively isolating each button for use with games like Empire Strikes Back.

The USB001 is the only complete plug and play USB solution for Star Wars yoke controllers available on the market. 

USB001 Interface features:

• - Does not require the modification or mutilation of yoke controller to use.  Interfaces directly with controller.
  - Recognized as a standard HID interface under Windows operating systems, so there are no special drivers required.
  - Mapped as Gamepad X, Gamepad Y and Gamepad buttons 1-4.
  - USB powered, does not require dedicated power source.
  - Interfaces with standard 5K control potentiometers, so there's no need to swap out the parts in the controller.
  - Uses a standard USB cable (3ft cable included).
  - Recognizes four separate button controls. (Perfect for Empire Strikes Back)
  - Available for Paperboy handlebar controllers as well.  This configuration is also plug-and-play.
  - Based on current technology by Microchip (parts are still available).
  - Legacy through-hole design for easy modification/repair by end-user.
