BACKGROUND:  Original design by Atari in 1979.  Used only on Lunar Lander in 1979.  No reproduction units produced to date.  Has been out of production for over two decades.  In recent times, the demand for a new reproduction thrust controller has steadily growing due to worn parts, corroded metal and conversions.

Our design is an exact replica of the original unit produced by Atari for use in their Lunar Lander arcade game.   We're recreating the metal frame and the molded plastic piece to original spec.  The overall construction of this controller is very simple, so reproduction is taking place without issue.  

There was an issue of location an original controller to use as a "model" but after only a few weeks of searching, a couple of complete machines became available.  We snatched one up immediately and modeled the controller right away.

There was some concern over how to reproduce the molded plastic cover, but production concerns proved to be no issue at all.

Essentially, our version is a near-perfect reproduction and functions exactly as the original.
