BATTLEZONE JOYSTICK AND SPARE PARTS

Machined from Nylatron material and precision ground, this is a highly upgraded component.  It will withstand much more abuse than the OEM counterpart.  It has been modified from the original part to provide excellent mechanical properties.  It is fully compatible with original controllers and the reproduction controller.

Precision machined from 6061 aluminum and hard black anodized.  This control handle bezel is for use with Battlezone joysticks and various Atari-made shifters.  The original bezel made by Atari was made from nylon plastic.  These aluminum versions are very strong by comparison and will not crack or break like the original parts.  Price is for ONE part.  Battlezone users, order two for a matching set.

Replaces part number 005255-04

Precision machined from 1018 cold roller D.O.M. tubing and zinc plated.  This is the main shaft mounted to the handle grips which allows forward/reverse movement.  Meets original Atari specifications.  This is an exact match for the original Battlezone controller shaft. Note: Original OEM (used) part on left, brand new reproduction part on right.

Precision cut and lathed inner and outer 6061 aluminum rings.  The elastomer is a specially formulated polyurethane mixture which gives the same amount of "stiffness" as the original rubber counterpart. These reproduction centering bellows comply to original form, fit and function on every level, plus the use of polyurethane material offers a serious upgrade and far exceeds the original Atari specification. The tear strength on polyurethane is immense compared to rubber.  These feel *exactly* right when installed - not too stiff & not sloppy. They're absolutely perfect!

Replaces part number A0376281-01

Special silica-thickened, light viscosity, synthetic hydrocarbon grease intended for mechanical components that require a light level of damping (noise/chatter reduction).  This is the exact grease called out in Atari specifications with an added moly lubricant for better aluminum on aluminum lubrication.  It also has an added benefit of quieting down plastic gears!  Comes in a 10 gram tube - enough for several applications.
