STAR WARS FLIGHT YOKE CONTROLLER AND SPARE PARTS

Note:  All parts below are made within original Atari specification and will fit OEM equipment.  In other words, the complete yoke controller will mount to an original Star Wars control panel and all of the individual parts on this page will fit original Atari yokes as well as the reproduction controller yoke made by RAM Controls.  These parts are not manufactured, intended or tested to mount to any other reproduction controllers, only the reproduction yoke controller made by RAM Controls and the OEM yoke controller made by Atari. 

Cold rolled steel (CRS) frame with precision laser cutouts and powder coating, steel shafts with zinc plating, hard anodized black thumb button.  Hard (75D) urethane trigger. Upgraded Delrin gears, mil-spec potentiometers, precision springs and upgraded handles.  OEM flange bearings and OEM retaining rings.  All parts meet or exceed original Atari spec.  All components are 100% interchangeable with original yoke controller. Note: Does NOT come with yoke overlay artwork.

Atari Part # A040233-01

Custom made USB interface adaptor for the Star Wars yoke controller.  Plug and Play connectivity, simply plug yoke controller into interface board and plug USB cable into M.A.M.E. computer.  Features support for dual axis (pitch-up/down and roll-right/left) analog controls and four momentary switches (right/left thumb buttons and right/left trigger buttons).  The only complete plug and play USB solution for Star Wars yoke controllers.  Includes 6ft USB cable.

Subminiature snap-action switches used in handles for thumb buttons and triggers.  These are OEM Cherry brand replacement parts.  This is an exact part which will work with the OEM controller and the reproduction controller.  Price is for a total of four switches.

Mounts inside of handle assembly frame and steering assembly frame for up/down/left/right movement.  An extreme improvement to the original Allen-Bradley potentiometers used by Atari, these are absolutely top notch parts!  Meets or exceeds Military specification MIL-R-94 and has a rotational life of 1,000,000 cycles.  The smooth response and tracking from this part is simply amazing!  Replace those worn pots!  Price is for two pots with mounting nuts.

This is a brand new large torsion spring used in the steering assembly frame for tension on left/right movement.  Parts made in-house within spec.  Price is for two large torsion springs.

Attaches to steering assembly frame and handle assembly frame.  Made from powdered bronze, cast to spec and pre-lubed.  Must be press-fit in frame.  Price is for four flange bearings.

Attaches to steering assembly frame and handle assembly frame.  Made from hard neoprene rubber affixed to a steel base, this part is within original Atari spec and engineered to be serviced easily in the future.  Price is for four rubber bumpers.

Part #:  040241-01

Special silica-thickened, light viscosity, synthetic hydrocarbon grease intended for mechanical components that require a light level of damping (noise/chatter reduction).  This is the exact grease called out in Atari specifications with an added moly lubricant for better aluminum on aluminum lubrication.  It also has an added benefit of quieting down plastic gears!  Comes in a 10 gram tube - enough for several applications.

Atari Part #: 178027-001

Special 3-conductor control wiring which was custom made for the reproduction Atari flight yoke controller.  It's an exact match for the OEM wire used by Atari, all the way down to the gauge, color and stand count.  The high strand count makes this wire especially flexible which is ideal for this application.  The wire is perfectly matched to OEM specification so it will work with OEM controllers as well as the reproduction controllers.  Price includes 10ft of wire.

Black 75D Cast Polyurethane.  The material choice has very good wear properties and it looks good.  These parts far exceed original Atari specification.  Price is for two triggers.
